The Beauty Blender Hack You Need To Know

I may be the only one but I LOVE washing my makeup brushes, there’s something so therapeutic about washing grimy makeup excess down the drain. Beauty Blenders however are a different story. I could spend about 10 minutes hopelessly attempting to remove foundation stains of them. That was until today. Today, I tried out a new hack I’d seen on Pinterest, and this hack will change your beauty blender life forever.

It’s so simple yet so effective and you’ll probably already have everything you need in your kitchen. Now finally to the point as I’m sure you can’t wait to know what it is.

Firstly you need to scrub your beauty blender with washing up liquid and warm water until its completely soapy and sudsy. The soapier the better is what I’ve found to give the best results. Then all you need to do is pop your bubbly beauty blender in a bowl/glass of warm water and microwave it for 1 minute. Then afterwards all you need to do is run it under warm water and squeeze out all the bubbles. It’s as simple as that!

If after completing the steps once your beauty blender doesn’t quite look as good as new it’s totally fine to repeat the steps.

So that’s all for this beauty blender hack, although there are many more I can’t wait to try once my beauty blender isn’t quite so clean again. I’d love to know if you have any methods/hacks for cleaning beauty blenders or any that you’d like me to try!

Wow!! Your beauty blender literally looks brand new! I’m 100% trying this, I clean mine usually by soaking them in soapy boiling water and it doesn’t really do much, they still look old and gross but it reassures me that all the bacteria has been killed! This looks amazing though and I’ll totally be testing it out. Also, the photography in this post is insane! x

      1. It did! Had to do mine twice (it’s been a while since I washed it lol) but I love this because I have no doubt that it’s sanitized now! Thanks for the tip!
